Roundabout Possible for Kavanaugh-McKinley-Pine Valley Intersection

City of Little Rock Public Works Traffic Engineering has determined that a roundabout is one possible improvement to the Kavanaugh-McKinley-Pine Valley intersection. This possible solution requires only slight alterations to the affected roadways and properties. This determination is a preliminary step. Intersection Improvements Moving Forward

The City Manager's office is asking the Public Works department to begin an engineering review of the Kavanaugh-McKinley-Pine Valley and Kingwood-Skywood-Pine Valley intersections.  This is the first step toward determining what improvements will best ensure safe vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle travel.  As the process moves forward, the Parks and Recreation department will help determine the appearance of the improvements.

Heights and Kingwood Join Forces for Intersections

The Heights Neighborhood Association and the Kingwood Neighborhood Association have joined forces to request that the city move quickly to study the Kavanaugh-McKinley-Pine Valley and Kingwood-Skywood-Pine Valley intersections to determine if they could be made less confusing and could be improved regarding appearance, safe traffic flow, safe roadway entry from homes, and safe accommodation of pedestrians/bicyclists.
