Police are looking for two people suspected in numerous car break-ins in Little Rock and Pulaski County. The suspects usually strike in busy locations, steal checks and cash them.

Little Rock Police believe the suspects are from Florida and are driving a silver Mercedes.  Authorities now believe the suspects are traveling in a silver 2012 Chevrolet Equinox with a Georgia license plate, BVS 3641, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office. The suspects may also be staying in local hotels.

The break-ins have occurred at the Big Dam Bridge, the new bridge at River Mountain Road, and at Pinnacle Mountain State Park.

Anyone knowing these suspects is asked to call LRPD at 918-3532.

Neighborhood News

This morning my neighbor to my north made me aware of criminal activity early this morning (March 27th) on Millbrook (Crime Watch Zone 9). She awoke to see a dark colored 4 door sedan park on the street and the occupant get out and check all the car doors, either on the street OR in driveways. The person then got back in the car moved down the street (in a southern direction) a few yards and did the same thing again. She called the police who arrived in minutes but the person was already gone. There was no property damage and no report of theft.

Warm weather is here and so are the criminals. I can't stress these property safety points enough...

  • If possible, garage your vehicles.
  • Make sure you take all valuables out of your vehicles.
  • Make sure you lock your vehicles.
  • Report suspicious activity (such as in this email) IMMEDIATELY to 911.

Car break-ins

We live on Yosemite valley drive and my husbands car was broken into last week. Our neighbors five doors down had theirs broken into last night. Just wanted to let everyone know. Colony West Post Sent: Thursday, March 22, 2012 10:42 AM

Last night my car and my wife's car were ransacked in an attempt to find something of value. All they got was some change. Both cars were locked and there was no visible signs of forced entry. 400 block of Del Rio Drive Briarwood Post Sent: Thursday, March 22, 2012 10:18 AM

House Break-Ins

I live in the 300 block of Hiawatha; my house was broken into sometime between 8:00 am and 12 noon today. They broke a kitchen window (in the back of the house) and entered through it. Stole three small flat-screen TVs, one laptop computer and lots of costume jewelry. I called the police and they responded. I am told, but do not know with certainty, that other houses on that same street were broken into today. Briarwood Post

Yes, a second house on Hiawatha was broke into today. We noticed a police car in front of a house around 12:45, and he said that's why it was there. It is on the other end of Hiawatha (close to Apache). Briarwood Post Wed Mar 21, 2012 3:06 pm (PDT)
