Hi everyone, on August 8 – 12^th, the CHHS (Center for Healing Hearts & Spirits) staff, board, volunteers, partners, etc. will be delivering school supplies including backpacks to 9 area schools in Pulaski County.  Also on August 14^th, the Center will join efforts with the OMEGA Psi Phi Fraternity and host a Back-to-School Block Party at 2521 State Street with area youth and parents.  We will distribute approximately 75 backpacks filled with supplies and other bags to more than 100 parents and adults during the block party.  The Omegas will also provide food and entertainment.  We are also soliciting partnerships from some other fraternities, sororities (AKAs), churches, etc.  The AR State Chamber of Commerce has also agreed to partner with this outreach.  We want to make sure as many students as possible are provided with necessary supplies as well as educational materials on reducing risky behaviors to begin their school year.  The AR Department of Health has provided us with lots of educational literature on SOS as well as some great promotional school supplies.  We need your help!  Below is a list of items we need to complete the event.  With your help we will provide 200 students directly and indirectly with their school supplies including backpacks.  If you can purchase the items below and drop them to us or provide funds to purchase them, we would appreciate your assistance.  We need the items ASAP!
